About your Guide
The owners of Metro Tours are personally available to you for guidance from your touchdown in NYC to take off. Add-on services will be performed by one of the owners of Metro Tours or by a Metro Tours NYC-licensed tour guide.

With more than 15 years of experience as locals, we know New York, and we’re here to assist you every step of the way. We do everything, from buying your MetroCards and leading you through subway transfers, to booking restaurant reservations and standing in line for you. You’re only here for a short time, and we want you to enjoy every second of it!
The owners of Metro Tours will work with you directly to develop an itinerary reflective of your personal interests and budget. For interested groups, all of our custom itineraries can also include private outings on our walking tours, which are awesome! Elevated Bachelorette Weekend

A group of girlfriends from Charlotte, North Carolina reached out to us for help planning a weekend in New York ahead of one of their upcoming weddings. “Elevated Bachelorette” was how the group described their goal for the weekend. Having all been to NYC before, they did not want to do “touristy” things but also did not know the city well enough to assemble an itinerary of activities reflecting their interests: food, art, shopping, and exercise. After collecting information about their flight reservations, budget, and preferred hotel location, Metro Tours prepared the following two-day itinerary for the group:
Day 1: Chelsea/Meatpacking/West Village

- Lunch and walk through Chelsea Market

A Chicago family was planning one day and one night in New York City ahead of a relative’s wedding in Brooklyn. The girls in the family had one thing in mind for their day: shopping in SoHo. Dad and his two sons were not interested in shuttling between shops, and we were happy to help them set up a (ball)game plan of their own. They wanted to walk as much as possible, and since their hotel was Midtown, we kept their activities in that neighborhood until that evening when they caught the 4 Train for a game in the Bronx.

How much advance notice do you need?

We ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice to plan your trip. The more time you can give us, the more time we have to make everything perfect.
How much does a custom private itinerary cost?

All of our custom itineraries are based on the wants and needs of each visitor and group. We charge $50 per planned day to create your itinerary. Additional add-on services are available. Please contact us directly for more info.
